Mubayyen is an app to read the Mushaf, hear yourself live, record your Takes and apply Modes to them. This page explains in plain words which data is used and why.
Who is responsible?

Report an audio issue
A technical report is sent. Audio is included only if you choose to attach an excerpt. This option is off by default.
Your recordings stay on your device. An excerpt is sent to support only if you explicitly choose it in an audio issue report, and it is deleted automatically after 30 days.
Why we can use this data
- Contract: to run the app and the Pro subscription.
- Consent: optional account, optional audio excerpt, cancellation feedback. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interest: crash reports and usage measurement, to improve and secure the app.
Who receives data
- Apple and Google: app distribution, purchases and optional sign-in.
- Google (Firebase and Google Cloud): account, backup of personal Modes, usage measurement and crash reports.
- RevenueCat: management of the Pro subscription.
- Cloudflare: website hosting and file delivery.
Mubayyen does not sell your data and does not use your Takes for advertising. When you share a Take, it goes to the recipient you choose. Exported files can contain a title, a passage and the Mode name in their metadata. Nothing is sent to Mubayyen.
Transfers outside the European Union
These providers may process data in the United States, under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep data
- Takes: on your device, until you delete them.
- Audio excerpt of a report: 30 days.
- Audio issue report: 180 days.
- Crash reports: 90 days.
- Account and saved Modes: until you delete the account.
- Cancellation answers: 12 months at most.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, rectification, erasure, object to a use, request portability and withdraw your consent. Write to contact@mubayyen.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr) or your local data protection authority.
Delete your account
You can delete your account and its cloud data directly in the app. If you cannot, write to contact@mubayyen.com.
Children
Mubayyen follows the minimum age set by the App Store and Google Play. We do not knowingly collect children’s data; if you think we did, write to us and we will delete it.

This policy may change with the app or the law. The update date is at the top of the page.
