Mubayyen is an app for reading the Mushaf, listening to your recitation live, recording takes and applying sound modes to them. This page explains what data the app processes and why.

Data we process

Depending on the features you use, Mubayyen may process:

• Microphone: for direct listening and recording.
• Your recordings: recorded, imported or exported takes stay on your device.
• Your custom modes: created in My modes, they are stored on your device and automatically synced with your Firebase account while you are signed in.
• Optional account: if you sign in with Google or Apple, Mubayyen may receive an account identifier, an email address, a name and a photo depending on the provider and your settings.
• Purchases: subscriptions are handled by Apple and Google and their status is processed by RevenueCat. Pro grants are associated with the signed-in Firebase UID so access can be restored across your devices.
• Cancellation feedback: if you are signed in and voluntarily choose not to renew Mubayyen Pro, we may use the verified email address on your account to send one feedback request. The form collects one reason and, if you wish, a comment of up to 500 characters. It contains no audio, Take or email address.
• Imported or exported files: the app only accesses files you choose through the system picker.
• Usage measurement: Firebase Analytics receives technical and usage events, including app_review_request and app_review_store_open. Mubayyen collects neither a rating nor review text.

Your recordings and imported audio files are not uploaded to the cloud. Only your custom modes are automatically synced when you use an account.

Why this data is used

• to enable direct listening and recording;
• to save and replay your takes on the device;
• to apply a sound mode to a take or an imported file;
• to back up your custom modes if you use the optional account;
• to manage access to Mubayyen Pro;
• to answer your requests.

Sharing with third parties

Mubayyen does not sell your data and does not use your recordings for advertising.

Apple and Google handle distribution, purchases and, depending on your choice, sign-in. Firebase provides authentication, personal-mode sync, Analytics and secure processing of feedback invitations. RevenueCat sends purchase status and voluntary cancellations associated with the Firebase UID. Cloudflare hosts the site and routes email sent from feedback@mubayyen.com.

When you use Share, the app opens the native share sheet and hands the file to the recipient or service you choose. Mubayyen does not choose the recipient and receives neither the shared file nor the recipient’s identity.

Retention

• Your recordings stay on your device until you delete them.
• Custom modes backed up to your account are kept while the account is active or until you request deletion.
• Purchase data is kept according to Apple’s and Google’s rules.
• Feedback invitations and tokens expire within 31 days. Responses, separated from identity and email address, are kept for no more than 365 days. Technical events needed for deduplication and message cooldown are kept for no more than 400 days. The opt-out preference is kept until account deletion.

Deleting your data

You can delete your takes from the Library and your custom modes from the app.

You can delete your account and its associated cloud data directly in the app. If that action is unavailable, write to contact@mubayyen.com.

Deleting the account removes feedback invitations, tokens and preferences that are still linked to it. A response already submitted is intentionally stored without a UID or email address and therefore can no longer be linked back to the account.

Billing, refund or purchase-history requests must be made to Apple or Google depending on the platform you used.

Permissions

• Microphone: for listening and recording.
• Access to files you choose: to import or export an audio file.
• Network: for the optional sign-in, purchases and opening the support and legal pages.

Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the app, the platforms or legal requirements.
